The Content Marketing System researches your business, suggests article ideas, writes SEO articles in your own voice with an image, sends each one to you for approval, and then publishes it to your WordPress website and LinkedIn. It also prepares ready-to-post versions for Facebook, Medium and Substack. Everything runs on a schedule you choose, and you stay in control of what goes live.

What you need before you start

You need an Awesomate n8n account. Any plan can install the Content Marketing System. Support Plus and higher also include the Awesomate MCP server, which lets Claude check and fix your workflows for you (see Testing and fixing problems below).

Add these connections in your n8n under Credentials before you install. Clear names help the system pick the right one.

Creating a WordPress Application Password: in your WordPress admin, go to Users, then Profile, scroll to Application Passwords, type a name such as "Awesomate Content Marketing" and click Add New Application Password. Copy the password it shows (it is only shown once). In n8n, create a WordPress credential with your WordPress username and that password. The user must be an Administrator or Editor so it can publish posts and upload images.

Recommended: install the Yoast SEO or Rank Math plugin on your website so the system can set each article's SEO title and meta description.

Step 1: Install the Content Marketing System

  1. Sign in at hub.awesomate.ai and open n8n, then Templates.
  2. Under Redeem a template token, paste the Content Marketing code you received from Awesomate.
  3. Click Preview to see what will be installed. If you already have the System workflows (Kie Task Manager, Media Generator, Zernio Publisher), choose to keep your existing ones.
  4. Click Install. The system adds about 20 workflows, its data tables and a Setup Agent to your n8n.

What if a connection is missing when I install?

The install still completes. Anything required that is missing (for example OpenRouter or Jina) is added as an empty placeholder named [wrkflw] Configure: ... and listed on your Finish setup checklist in the hub. Those steps will not work until you fill the placeholder in with your real key in n8n Credentials. Optional connections (email senders you do not use, LinkedIn, images, extra websites) are simply switched off until you add them, and the Setup Agent can switch them on later. You may also see a list of optional settings on the checklist: they all have sensible defaults, so you do not need to set them.

Step 2: Set it up with the Setup Agent

Open Chat Hub in n8n and choose Content Marketing - Setup Agent. It always knows where you are up to, so you can simply ask "where am I up to?" at any time. It walks you through these steps:

  1. Your business profile. Confirm your website address. The agent reads your site and business details (about half a minute) and drafts your primary keywords, secondary keywords, topics and tone. Check it matches your business and tell it to confirm, or ask for changes.
  2. Your writing style (recommended). Paste an article or post you wrote yourself. The system learns your voice so articles sound like you.
  3. Your first ideas. The agent generates 100 article ideas and gives you a link to your Content Studio portal to approve them (see Step 3).
  4. Your website. Give it your WordPress address. It connects your WordPress credential and tests the connection from the server, so you know publishing will work.
  5. Email. Confirm where review emails and alerts should go and which email service to send through.
  6. LinkedIn and images (optional). If you added Zernio or Kie, tell the agent and it connects them. For LinkedIn, connect your LinkedIn profile or company page inside Zernio first. The agent then lists your LinkedIn accounts and sets the one you choose to post as.
  7. Go live. The agent runs a final readiness check and tells you your next publishing day. If anything is missing, it tells you exactly what to fix.

Settings you can change by asking the agent

SettingDefaultExample request
Publishing daysTuesday, Thursday, Saturday"Publish on Mondays and Wednesdays"
Publishing time9am in your timezone"Publish at 7am"
ApprovalReview every article first"Publish without asking me" (only recommended once you trust the output)
Publish nowPublishes straight away"Email me the article for review when I press Publish now"
WordPress statusPublished"Save posts as drafts in WordPress"
Missed reviewWait for my review"Publish anyway if I have not reviewed it"

Alert emailYour account support email"Send reviews to marketing@mybusiness.com"

Running more than one business or website? Ask the agent to add a brand. Each brand has its own website, profile, voice, ideas, schedule and LinkedIn account, and the portal gets a brand switcher.

Step 3: How ideas are generated and approved

  1. The system uses your confirmed profile (your keywords, topics, audience and tone) to generate a batch of 100 article ideas. Each idea has a title, an angle and a target keyword, and duplicates of anything already written or queued are removed.
  2. Open your Content Studio portal (the Setup Agent gives you the link). On the Ideas tab, tick the ideas you like, reject the rest, and add your own ideas at any time.
  3. Approved ideas form your Queue. Use the arrows to change the order: the idea at the top is written next.
  4. When fewer than 5 approved ideas are left and you have no ideas waiting for approval, a fresh batch is generated automatically and you get an email to approve them.

Step 4: Reviewing, publishing and scheduling

The schedule

On each publishing day, the system checks your queue. About two days before a publishing day, the top idea is researched and written as a full SEO article with an image, then emailed to you for review.

Reviewing an article

The review email and review page show the full article with three choices:

  • Publish: approves the article. It goes live on its publishing day, or straight away if that day has already arrived.
  • Edit: gives you a page to paste back your edited version, then publish it or keep it for its day.
  • Discard: removes the article. The next idea takes its place.

Every article waiting for you is also on the To review tab of your portal, so you never have to dig for the email. Press Review to open the same review page. The portal opens on this tab whenever something is waiting.

If you do not review an article in time, it waits for you. It no longer holds up the rest of your schedule, you get one reminder a day, and it publishes as soon as you approve it.

Publishing straight away

Press Publish now in your portal to write and publish the next article immediately. If you prefer, the agent can set Publish now to email you the article for review first.

What happens when an article publishes

  • Your website: the article is posted to WordPress with its featured image, SEO title and meta description.
  • LinkedIn: a LinkedIn version written for LinkedIn is posted with the image, and about a minute later a first comment with the link to your article is added. Putting the link in the comment helps the post reach more people.
  • Facebook: a short Facebook post, first comment and image are emailed to you, ready to post.
  • Medium and Substack: copy-and-paste versions are on the Handoff tab of your portal.
  • Confirmation: you get an email with the live link and what happened on each channel.

Prefer articles to land as WordPress drafts first? Ask the agent to save posts as drafts (it takes effect within the hour). LinkedIn then waits until the article is live on your website.

Step 5: Testing and fixing problems

Test it end to end

  1. Ask the Setup Agent to check everything. It runs the readiness check, including a live test that the server can reach your website.
  2. Ask it to write an article now. You will get the review email within a few minutes.
  3. Press Publish in the email and check the article on your website, then LinkedIn.

When something goes wrong

If an article fails to publish, it shows on the To review tab marked "Publish failed" with the reason. Fix the cause (see the table below), then press Try again.

Every failure sends you an alert email in plain English, and the Setup Agent knows about the last week's problems, so you can ask it "what went wrong?". Common fixes:

Let Claude check and fix it for you (Support Plus and higher)

On Support Plus and higher, your account includes the Awesomate MCP server, which connects Claude to your n8n.

  1. In hub.awesomate.ai, open Sites and choose Connect Claude Code, then follow the steps to connect Claude.
  2. Ask Claude in plain English, for example: "Check my Content Marketing workflows for errors this week and tell me what failed" or "Why did my last article not publish?"
  3. Claude reads your recent executions and errors, explains the cause, and can test and fix the workflow with you.

Still stuck? Contact Awesomate support and include the alert email you received.

Frequently asked questions

Will anything publish without my approval?

Not unless you choose it. By default every article is emailed to you first. Only if you ask the agent to publish without asking you do articles go straight out, and even then anything the writer flagged for checking still comes to you.

Do I need WordPress?

Yes, publishing needs a WordPress website. The article on your website is the main copy, and the LinkedIn post links back to it.

When does the schedule start?

The schedule is switched on when you install, but nothing is written or published until your profile is confirmed, you have approved ideas and your website is connected.

Can I write about something that is not in my ideas?

Yes. Add your own idea in the portal, or tell the Setup Agent "add this idea and write it now".
