Getting Started with WRKFLW
WRKFLW is your workflow automation hub from Awesomate. Use it to submit workflow requests, track their progress, and manage your n8n automation instance – all in one place.
Signing In
- Go to wrkflw.awesomate.ai
- Enter the email address associated with your Awesomate account
- Click Send Magic Link
- Check your inbox for an email from Awesomate (check spam/junk if it doesn’t arrive within a minute)
- Click the link in the email – you’ll be signed in automatically
Good to know:
- Magic links expire after 15 minutes. If yours has expired, just request a new one.
- You can resend the link after 30 seconds if it hasn’t arrived.
- If you see a message saying “you don’t seem to be an active member”, the email you entered isn’t linked to an active Awesomate account. Try a different email or sign up at awesomate.ai.
First-Time Setup: Connecting Your n8n Instance
The first time you sign in, you’ll be asked to connect your n8n automation instance. Every Awesomate client has a dedicated n8n instance at yourcompany.awesomate.io.
Steps
- Confirm your n8n slug – This is your subdomain (e.g.
acmeforacme.awesomate.io). In most cases this is pre-filled for you. - Create an API key in n8n:
- Open your n8n instance (a direct link is provided on the setup page)
- Go to Settings > API
- Click Create an API key and copy it
- Open your n8n instance (a direct link is provided on the setup page)
- Paste your API key into the field on the setup page
- Click Test & Save – WRKFLW will verify the connection before saving
Once connected, you’ll be taken straight to your workflows dashboard. You won’t need to do this step again unless you regenerate your API key.

Yearly billing is available at checkout and saves you 2 months free (pay for 10 months instead of 12).

Your Workflows Dashboard
After signing in, you’ll land on My Workflows – your home base inside WRKFLW.
Here you can see:
- Your current plan and credit balance
- All workflows you’ve submitted, with their current status
- A button to Start a Workflow Request (if your plan includes wizard access)
Workflow Statuses
Each workflow moves through a pipeline as our team works on it:

Submitting a Workflow Request
Available on: Support Plus and Automations Pro plans. Essentials members can upgrade from the Billing page.
The workflow intake wizard walks you through everything we need to build your automation. It’s split into three phases:
Phase 1: Qualify
Tell us about the process you want to automate.
- Basics – Name your workflow and describe what it should do
- Process – Is the process documented? What manual steps are involved?
- Volume – How often does this run? How many items? What happens if it fails?
- Viability Check – We’ll score how suitable this process is for automation
- AI Analysis – Our AI reviews your answers and suggests the trigger type, apps involved, and potential steps
Phase 2: Specify
Nail down the technical details.
- Trigger – How should the workflow start? (e.g. webhook, schedule, form submission, app event)
- Apps – Which apps and services need to be connected?
- Data – What data goes in and what comes out?
- Processing Steps – Describe each step the workflow should perform (drag to reorder)
- AI Agent – If your workflow uses AI, configure the model and behaviour here
- Error Handling – What should happen when something goes wrong?
Phase 3: Validate
Make sure everything is correct before submitting.
- Security – Flag any sensitive or personal data the workflow will handle
- Acceptance Criteria – Review test scenarios (our AI can generate these for you)
- Ownership – Who owns this workflow? Who should we contact if there’s an issue?
- Review & Submit – Check the full summary and submit
Tips:
- Steps that don’t apply to your workflow are automatically skipped
- Look for the AI suggestion buttons – they can fill in details you might not be sure about, and you can always undo them
- You’ll need an available credit to submit. Pro plan members get 1 free credit per month. Additional credits are $100 each and can be purchased from the Billing page.
Managing Your Plan & Billing
Go to Settings > Plan & Billing or navigate directly to the Billing page.
What You Can Do
- Upgrade your plan – Move from Essentials to Support Plus or Pro at any time. You’ll be charged the new rate immediately.
- Downgrade your plan – Takes effect at your next billing date (no charge today).
- Buy workflow credits – Purchase 1 to 50 credits at $100 each. Credits are charged to your card on file.
- View invoices – See your full invoice history and resend any invoice to your email.
- Cancel your account – Submit a cancellation request from the Billing page.
Billing Cycle
- Monthly – Billed each month
- Yearly – Pay for 10 months, get 12 (2 months free)
You can choose your billing cycle when upgrading.
Settings
Open Settings from the menu to:
- View your account details (name and email)
- Manage your n8n connection – Update your API key, test the connection, or remove it
- Switch between Light, Dark, or System theme
- Sign out
Frequently Asked Questions
I didn’t receive my magic link email.
Check your spam/junk folder. If it’s not there, go back to the login page and click Resend Magic Link. Links expire after 15 minutes, so request a fresh one if needed.
I see “you don’t seem to be an active member”.
The email you entered isn’t associated with an active Awesomate account. Double-check for typos, try a different email, or sign up at awesomate.ai.
I can’t submit a workflow request.
Workflow submissions require a Support Plus or Automations Pro plan. If you’re on Essentials, you can upgrade from the Billing page. You also need at least one available credit.
How do I get more workflow credits?
Go to the Billing page and click Buy Credits. Each credit costs $100 and lets you submit one workflow request.
Where do I find my n8n API key?
Open your n8n instance at yourcompany.awesomate.io, go to Settings > API, and create a new API key. Paste it into the Settings page in WRKFLW.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade immediately or downgrade effective at your next billing date – both from the Billing page.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your n8n API key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. Magic link tokens are one-time use and expire after 15 minutes. All connections use HTTPS.
